Personal Data We Collect

We strive to collect as little data as possible. For website statistics we use Rybbit, a privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternative that we host ourselves. It works without cookies and does not build visitor profiles.

We collect and process the following types of personal data:

Information you provide when making a purchase (name, email address, billing information)
Technical data (IP address, browser type, device information)

The MAITO application itself contains no tracking and no telemetry. This policy is about the website.

Advertising Measurement (Google Ads)

We sometimes advertise MAITO on Google. To learn whether those ads work, we would like to know when an ad click leads to a download or a purchase. We only measure this with your permission:

If you did not arrive through one of our Google ads, nothing is measured for advertising purposes. No Google script is loaded, no advertising cookie is set, and no data is sent to Google.
If you arrive by clicking one of our Google ads, we ask you once whether we may measure the result of that ad.
- If you choose Decline, or simply ignore the question, nothing is loaded and nothing is sent to Google. We only store your choice, so we do not have to ask again.
- If you choose Allow, we load Google’s tag. It sets the cookies _gcl_aw and _gcl_au, which are kept for 90 days, and it tells Google Ads that the ad click led to a download or a purchase. If you make a purchase, a hashed (unreadable) form of your email address is included, so that the purchase can be matched to the ad click.

We do not use remarketing or personalised advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles. The recipient of this data is Google Ireland Limited, which may process it on servers outside the European Economic Area; see how Google uses this data.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing deletes the advertising cookies.
